Sarojini N. from Sama was invited to be part of a committee to devise suitable regulatory mechanism for effectively monitoring of the sale of imported, second hand or refurbished ultrasound machines, including use of technology for effective tracking of ultrasound machines.
The meeting took place on 28th September 2012 in Delhi during which follow up plans including possible tracking mechanisms in ultrasound machines, data regarding sales of ultrasound machines, data on imported and locally assembled machines were to be furnished to the Committee.
