A two-day national seminar was organised by Sama along with LOCOST, Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) and Third World Network (TWN) on 14th and 15th July, 2014 in Delhi.
Participants included Principal Investigators (PIs) involved in conduct of clinical research, Health Researchers, Health Economists, Ethicists, a few Representatives from Pharmaceutical Associations, Public Health Experts and representatives from Organizations, ,
The seminar saw deliberations on issues related to compensation mechanisms for trial-related injuries. It also reviewed the existing formulae on compensation and formulated recommendations for policy advocacy.
